In my lesson, I will be asking the students to create a ToonDoo as their Web 2.0 tool to demonstrate an overview from what they have learned. They will be creating the ToonDoo at home so they can have plenty of time to mess around with the features and even make another cartoon for fun if they wish. However, I will show the students in class how to get started with ToonDoo and show them an example of one I have made so they are familiar of what is expected of them.
I will also be showing the students how to do actual box-plot examples, but this cartoon will really show me what they know about technology and what the students really got out of the lesson. Examples of box-plot problems that I will demonstrate for the students and ask them to do problems for will look like so:
The colors and labeling should help the students who did not fully comprehend in the auditory lecture, while the cartoon should help those who simply need to make the connections between all the information.
